Adair Fiscal Court gets rural secondary road report

2008-02-13 - Adair Annex Basement - Photo By Ed Waggener.
Jeff Dick, Kentucky Highway Department engineer for Adair, Russell, Clinton, and Cumberland Counties for KHD District 8, Somerset, leaves the Adair Annex meeting hall after reviewing the Department's recommendations for 2008 at the February 12, 2008 meeting of Adair Fiscal Court. Mr. Dick recommended resurfacing on six state secondary roads. In order of priority: Jones Chapel, Glens Fork Road, Dry Creek Road, Knifley Road, and Young Street in Columbia. He told the court that the Road Eighty bridge might be complete in May 2008 and the Columbia Western Bypass might be complete in the fall of 2008. It was the first report here for Mr. Dick, who replaced Shelley Gorman in the post. Others in the photo, from left, CJE Ann Melton, Adair County Court Clerk Sheila Blair, Adair County Attorney Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin, Sheriff Ralph Curry, Regional Jailer William (Bug) Knight, and Adair County 911 Coordinator Mary Allender.
