Incredible sunset: Marion County, December 2006

2008-01-31 - Lebanon, KY - Photo By Pen.
"A wave of stormclouds passed over central Kentucky this evening, and in their wake was some of the most incredible evening lighting I've seen. Unfortunately, we were travelling, and I didn't get a chance to stop and properly photograph it. This was the view across the street from the service station in Marion County, KY," Pen wrote when he posted this photo at the ColumbiaMagazine.com group at Flickr over a year ago. A comment there asks if any two sunsets are ever the same. The photo brings a realization of some shared moments. Many Adair Countians realize that one of the great assets we have is getting to enjoy the incredible Marion County scenery on our way to and from Louisville and Lexington. Maybe we appreciate it more than the natives. Many of us have been struck by ever changing twilight images the site above one gives on our trips through here in the evenings.
