North Pole is just 20 miles from Columbia, in Campbellsville, KY

2007-12-22 - Miller Park - Photo By Larry Smith.
The NORTH POLE IS JUST 20 MILES NORTH OF COLUMBIA Larry Smith found last night, in Miller Park, Campbellsville, KY. The gateway above, he found, is just of one of the lighted displays there. "It's fabulous," Larry Smith said. "There are acres and acres of Christmas lights." Miller Park is named for the former Mayor Bob Miller, whose late wife was the former Berniece Chapman of Columbia, KY. To get there from Adair County, take KY 55 North approximately 19 miles to Campbellsville. Proceed through first traffic signal at Cox Interior. At second traffic signal turn right onto Broadway/US 68 East. Proceed to traffic signal #6 and turn left onto KY 289/Lebanon Avenue. Continue on KY 289/Lebanon Avenue across City Dam/City Lake. Turn left at Miller Park Gazebo onto W. Lake Drive. Tennis Courts are 100 yards on the right. Larry Smith, frequent contributor of photographs and history to ColumbiaMagazine.com, is news anchor at WHVE FM 92.7, The WAVE radio.
