LATE AFTERNOON SUN & LEAFLESS TREES make the community of Garlin, KY, a shining village on a hill. The H.W. & Ruby Roach residence can be seen most prominently in the foreground, with the Mouser farm between it and, on the left, the red roof of the architecturally distinctive Ron Hale residence. Higher in the center are the new Tommy Grider Garlin development, and, on the the right, the homes of heritage days of old Garlin.
