New oil strike on D&D Burris: The master touch

LUCKY DON YATES applies the master touch to the controls of his rotary rig which hit a new well on the D&D Burris farm in the Gradyville Oilfield on the Burris part of the farm once owned by Willie Nell. Barry Hamlett, right, was over to help Saturday. Hamlett owns another portion of the Willie Nell farm with his brother, Ricky Hamlett. Yates is the third of four generations of Yates family drillers. His father and grandfather, as well as his son have all made careers of the business.
