2007 Christmas in Columbia at Trabue House: ACHS art

2007-12-03 - Trabue Russell House, Jamestown Hill, Columbia, KY - Photo By Linda Waggener.
ONE OF A KIND, TWO FOR ONE display at Trabue-Russell Home during the 2007 Christmas in Columbia open house. The made for Christmas 2007 ornaments from art students at Adair County High School, and the year-round historic displays created by Vonnie Kolbenschlag. They're displayed on an oak table donated from the Adair County Courthouse by the late Susan Miller. The displays by Mrs. Kolbenschlag include a 1911 reunion of Civil War Veterans, A Thomas Hadley account of his visit to the reunion, and, far right, the famous portrait of Colonel Frank Wolford and a timeline of his life. Included in the student works is a note on Autumn Martin's ornament, which was one of two ornaments selected to represent Adair County on the Governor's Christmas tree (the other was donated by Adair County artist and co-owner of HRS Gallery & Studio, Henrietta Scott. The annual Christmas event is a reminder of the great store of Adair County memorabilia housed in the beautiful old home.
