2007 Christmas in Columbia Moment: Master biscuit makers

2007-12-01 - Columbia Baptist Church - Photo By Ed Waggener.
GREAT BISCUITS, GREAT TRADITION: Rotarians Steve Sargent, left, and Edgar Troutman have been cooking ovenloads of biscuits at the Rotary Breakfast this morning. It is a reassuring moment every year to know that he is still at the top of his biscuit making game. Edgar Troutman has a reputation for making great biscuits, and Steve Sargent was doing all he could to learn how it's done. The Rotary Breakfast at the Columbia Baptist Church is one of the busiest places in town this morning. They serving an all you care to eat breakfast of sausage and scrambled eggs, hot coffee and orange juices, and those hot biscuits with sawmill gravy or butter, jelly, syrup, or sorghum molasses, all for $5.00. Serving time will continue until noon today, Saturday, December 1, 2007.
