Larry Smith Photos from the Past: House under water

2007-11-10 - Green River Lake - Photo By Larry Smith.
LARRY SMITH south central Kentucky historian and news anchor at The WAVE FM 92.7, sent this photo from 40 years ago when the Green River Dam was under construction. "The dike had been closed," Smith said, "but the impoundment was not supposed to start. A downpour came and raised the water on this house before it could be removed." The house had been the home of the Lowell Smith family, Larry Smith said. To see other Larry Smith photos from the past, enter "Larry Smith" in the searchbox.
