ACHS Marching Band 2007:
State Champions: Bus No. 42 carries Bob back

2007-10-21 - Donwtown Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
JUST AFTER THE ESCORT VEHICLES Orvis Grider steers Bus. No. 42 onto the Public Square. On the left, Bonnie Cheng steadies the huge trophy signifying that Adair County High School won the 2007 Class AAA Championship. It is the 18th time the ACHS Marching Band has returned home State Champions. A large crowd greeted the convoy. The driver's grandson, Jordan Grider, is waving from the second window, and Vicki Leibeck and Katie Luckey wave to well-wishers from the emergency hatches at top of bus. Ronnie Hubbard is bringing up Bus No. 49, with more band members, and the third bus, No. 55, piloted by Junior Irwin, has still more members of the band. The white semi is the instrument truck driven by Barry Smith, and behind that, the green semi, is loaned by Rogers Trucking Company to the band, and is driven by Glenn Breeding.
