Where new bridge will officially reopen August 6, 2007

The bridge over Short Creek will be reopened three days ahead of schedule. It will be offically open before 8:00am, Monday morning, August 6, 2007, according to Adair County CJE Administrative Assistant Lisa Lee. Adair County Roads Supervisor Jobe Darnell said Sunday night that taking down the road closed signs will be the first order of business on Monday. The bridge can be located on the map above about two-thirds of the way along the dotted line county road in the bottom of the frame,. The road runs from from Eunice on KY 206 to the Casey County line, pretty much parallell to both Green River and KY 206. County Judge Executive Ann Melton had set a target date to complete the bridge of August 9, the first day for Adair County Schools. The bridge built with Emergency Road Funds authorized by Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher and Kentucky Rural Roads Commissioner Ginger Wells.
