Director Directs as City sidewalk projects proceed

Early this morning sidewalk, construction was slowing traffice on Burkesville Street. This work is in addition to the $94,000 Safe Routes to School sidewalks announced last week by Mayor Pat Bell. Here, Pyles Concrete was delivering concrete to a sidewalk section in front of the Wally Richard home Tim Smith, center, (blue and white cap) and crew worked the concrete mix in a section betwen driveways. In the distance, center of photo, the Mayor's good right hand man, Donnie Rowe, City Street Department Director, directs traffic. Northbound KY 61 traffic was handled by another Street Department employee, and Officer Luttrell directed Tutt Street traffic.
