Vigil for Billy Phillips



2007-07-21 - Trinity UMC Family Life Center - Photo By Ed Waggener.
Congregants at the "Candlelight Prayer Vigil for Truth, Justice, and Healing: In Memory of Billy Phillips," raised lighted candles in front of the William G. Davenport Family Center at Trinity United Methodist for the final prayer at the outdoor service, Friday night, in memory of Billy Phillips and in support of the family. Attendance was high; over 235 were counted present. Bro. Garry Jones of Trinity UMC, members of the Phillips family, and friends read scripture, sang hymns, and remembered the man who Trinity member who died following an altercation at the Adair County Regional Jail.
