Western Bypass, July 12, 2007: Cut through Arnold Farm

2007-07-12 - Western Bypass at Dr. Ben Arnold Farm - Photo By Ed Waggener.
The cut for the Western Bypass through Dr. Ben Arnold's beautiful farm between KY 61 South and the Louie B. Nunn Parkway was nearing it's final shape today. Mostly dry weather has allowed construction crews to proceed at a mind-numbing pace on the project. Through this pass, over on the LBN Parkway, concrete piers for the Fishhook's overpass were under construction today. Prior to the start of Western Bypass construction, the scene above was, prior to construction, one of the most beautiful in Adair County and had been since the place was the Conover Sisters'--Mabel' & Ella's--Place. From this photo, it would appear that a prospect remains for this to be the most scenic along the Western Bypass when construction is complete.
