Pellyton Representative to Court: We want our precinct back

Travis Adams who lives off Sanders Ridge Road above Pellyton, appeared before the Adair County Fiscal Court last night to advocate restoration of the voting precinct at Pellyton. Citizens of the distant northern Adair County community now vote across the lake, up on the ridge, at hyphenate precinct Eunice-Pellyton, whose voting house is located in neither Eunice or Pellyton, not even Neatsville in between, but at Purdy. "We want our precint back," Adams told the court. CJE Ann Melton said the county will study it. Adams, who once came within 1 vote of being elected First District Magistrate, made request at the regular July 10, 2007 meeting of the court.
