Balloon Glow at dusk at Campbellsville University

The Wave's Larry Smith captured a major 4th of July event at Campbellsville University, the Tuesday evening, July 3, 2007, "Balloon Glow," on the football practice field on the campus of Campbellsville University. Smith said he had reports that the crowd for the event was in the thousands. The Ballon Glow event is The balloon race itself, scheduled for 6:00am CT liftoff, was cancelled because of dangerous crosswinds. The Fourth of July Celebration in Campbellsville is the community's major annual event, and is billed as the largest Fourth of July observance in Kentucky. The balloon events are sponsored by The Wave, FM 92.7's sister station, The Big Dawg, Amazon.com, and Campbellsville University.
