Grassy Springs bridge approaches blacktopped

The approaches and surface of the Grassy Springs Bridge over Sulphur Creek on the Christine-Sano Road, CR 1032, has now been blacktopped by Gaddie-Shamrock. It was getting an inspection by Adair County CJE Ann Melton and Adair County Roads Department Supervisor Jobe Darnell recently. The bridge, except for the tear-out, by built by the ACRD. Funds for the $100,000 project were secured through Governor Ernie Fletcher's Emergency Road Fund following a request of from the county judge. The bridge is at McGaha in the White Oak precinct in Adair County Magisterial District 1. With the competion of the road, access from this point, ahead to the right goes to CR 1008, Allen Schoolhouse Road; to the left continue on Grassy Springs Road (CR 1013) to Sano across the Russell County line, and behind, Christine-Sano Road to the junction to its junction with the Christine Road at Christine, KY.
