Breaking Bear News! This just in from KY 70 sector

2007-06-28 .
MIKKI FLOWERS sent this exciting news at 8:57am! - Secretary Juanita Delp in Commonwealth Attorney Brian Wright's office in Liberty, KY, had more than a little excitement last night when neighbors knocked on her door to let her know this bear cub was in in back yard. Momma Bear was across the road. They got several photos of the cub climbing a fence. Secretary Delp lives on West KY 70 area in Casey County, which is very close to the Adair County Line. The photo is by Cheri White, Juanita's daughter, taken at the Delp residence on Martin Road.
Thanks, Agent Flowers. This spotting is approximately 4-5 bear miles from Barnett's Creek Road in Adair County. This photo is grounds enough to put all Adair County Blue Ribbon Bear Board members on alert! Please watch for bear spillover from Casey as well as Taylor, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Cumberland and Russell Counties. Photos from a safe distance greatly appreciated, especially any Town Bears the more urban areas of Knifley or Columbia.
