Columbia: You have a Parks & Rec logo!

2007-06-22 - Photo By Ed Waggener.
The Columbia Parks & Recreation Board announced that Columbia graphic artist Don Bennett, 807 Powell Road, Columbia, KY, is the winner of the logo contest, with the basic design, above. Some changes may be made to the design before it's official debut. Adair County may or may not be part of the logo. The design received the most favorable comment from the community. Bennett will receive $50 and a summer pass to the City Pool. Other finalists, finally identified at the Parks & Rec meeting last night, Thursday, June 21, 2007, were Linda Lewis and Susan Tucker. The entire board, Chairman Charles Grimsley and members David Herbst, Richard Phelps, Donna Shirley, and Greg Thomas, were present for the vote.
