2007 Russell Creek Tractor Show: Just a few

2007-06-16 - Adair County - Photo the Old Coddger. Just a few of the many tractors on display today. Most of these belong to the show's host, Lewis Garrison, who had over 70 tractors on display, but that number was more than doubled by show time, Saturday, June 16, 2007. The event is proving an annual boon to the Adair County economy. Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce President Darrell Overstreet was beaming. Not only does the Garrison's show feature many International products Overstreet's family used to sell along Super Chief Pontiacs and GMC trucks at their Overstreet & Rice dealership on Greensburg Street between Paull & Marshall Streets, in Columbia, but it also brings hundreds of people to Adair County. With tourism a major component of the Chamber's economic program, a show like the Russell Creek Antique Gas Engine & Tractor Show, becomes more and more a factor in tourism.
