Tupmans Pond: It just had 100th anniversary, too

2007-06-11 - KY 55 South of Columbia, KY, near Zion - Photo By Ed Waggener.

One of the most famous landmarks in Adair County had a 100th Anniversary on Thursday, June 7, 2007. According to the late Rena Tupman, the lore in her family was that the same cloudburst which caused the Gradyville Flood on June 7, 1907, also created this beautiful lake, quite smaller on Monday, June 11, 2007, because of the extreme drought conditions this year.
