At the July Columbia City Council meeting
 2025-07-08 - Columbia, KY . Charles Grimsley, at left, appeared at the Council meeting on behalf of the Adair County Fair Association to ask for support for the organization. Council members voted to give $5,000 with the addition of putting that amount in the annual budget to help keep the Fair strong and growing. Florence Browne, Exp Realty, at right, was at the Council meeting to answer questions on the annexation of the property across from the Walmart Center.

He would grow up to serve and leave major gifts
 2025-07-08 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. Born in March 1975 with a severe spinal condition - spina bifida - Shannon Rowe faced physical challenges from birth. Yet he lived a life marked not by limitation, but by purpose. Upon his passing in July of 2024, Shannon's estate would make a substantial impact on the community he loved. Two major bequests were left to The Adair County Fair Association and the Crusade for Children.
