Columbia Utilities Commissioner Dr. Ronald Rogers inspected the check register of the Utilities Commission Commission meeting at noon, Tuesday, December 19, 2006. It was hard to do without memories welling up of fellow member Craig Williams, who died October 31, 2006. "Craig never attended a meeting without looking over the commission's check register," Dr. Rogers said. Member Larry Marshall remembered that Mr. Williams used the check register to check on the little items, such as work gloves purchases, which could add up to a lot of money over a year's time.
