Quilt guild donates to Crusade for Children

2006-12-12 - Photo by Linda Waggener.
THE COUNTRY QUILTERS QUILT GUILD secured a quilt top earlier this year and several of the quilters met each week to quilt. They decided to raffle the quilt with the proceeds going to the Crusade for Children. After a year of work and promotions, the winner of the quilt was Phyllis Thompson and a check in the amount of $650 was presented to the Crusade. The Guild posed for this photo right before their special Christmas dinner Monday night and asked that we share this message: "We want to thank all who participated and thank the community for it's support." From left in the photo are, front: Kathy Jones, Sue Henningsen and Betty Thorsen. Behind them are Irene Harmon, Bessie Willis, Rebecca Grant and Pat Pocchio presenting the Guild's check to Mr. Brandon Lewis. Row 3: Allene Aaron, Lois Banks (in the blue), Louise Hengehold, and row 4: Irene Groce, Brenda Speer, Sue Smith, Billie Kay Farris and Beth Henningsen.
