Christmas 2006: Snow family on roof top

2006-11-26 - Intersection Guardian and Hurt Streets - Photo CM Staff.

Columbia is well decorated for Christmas. Beverly Smith's home at 206 East Guardian faces the stop on Hurt Street, giving it very high exposure. Shoppers returning to downtown from the Jamestown Street shopping strips are greeted by an inflatable Santa and Frosty on the lower levels, and a brightly lit snowman family on the roof. The pretty scene isn't entered in the decorating contest, Mrs. Smith said, she just created the scene for everybody's Christmas joy. Neighbors along this area of East Guardian have more must-see Christmas scenes as well.
