One of two checks totalling $845,000 for sewer project

Rep. Russ Mobley, PRIDE director Richard Thomas, Mayor Pat Bell, U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield, and Senator Vernie McGaha with check fom PRIDE for $345,000 for the Green Hills/Parrott Avenue sewer project. A check for $500,000 in Appalachian Regional Commission funds for the project was also presented by Representative Whitfield. Richard Thomas acknowledged Mayor Bell's leadership in securing the funds. Approximately $275,000. in City funds will supply the balance of the funding for the project, which will serve 85 homes in the Green Hills and Parrott Avenue areas.
