Classified: Cuddly kittens at GRAS need good homes

2006-10-16 - Green River Animal Shelter - Photo By Heather Evans.
THESE KITTENS are a few of the beautiful creatures who need adoptions soon at the Green River Animal Shelter. Adoptions at the shelter are going very well. Director Jeff Thomas says that the GRAS is seeing 40% of the animals adopted. That's against a national rate of 25%, he says. But he'd like to see the figure go to 100%, with no dog or cat having to be put down. The adoption process is very simple. Come to the shelter and pick out your animal. Adoption costs are $30.00 percat or kitten and $40.00 per dog or pup. A short adoption form is filled outand your animal goes home with you the same day you adopt it. GREEN RIVER ANIMAL SHELTER, 455 Jim Blair Road (take Appleby Drive off KY 55 at Columbia Church of Nazarene; Jim Blair Road goes around Adair Youth Development Center), Columbia, KY.
