Folklore of the Old West 2006: Re-enactment site

2006-10-14 - Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by CM staff.
The folks in the distance on the Well Walk off the Square in Columbia are peaceful pedestrians, but today, Saturday, October 14, 2006, at high noon, a bone-chilling re-enactment of the James-Younger gang robbing the bank will occur. This will be the 13th year for the dramatic event, the highlight of the Folklore of the Old West fall festival. When the gang robbed the bank it was in a tiny frame building fronting on Burkesville Street. This year, the bank is in its 140th year, and the re-enactment is being staged in the old Russell Building, now owned by David and Eva Rigney.
