Adair Fiscal Court June 5, 2006: Seems like old times

2006-06-05 - Adair Annex Building - Photo by CM staff. IT SEEMED LIKE OLD TIMES at the very brief Adair County Fiscal Court Special Emergency meeting this morning, June 5, 2006, with Ray Hutchison, right, long-time Adair County Attorney, acting again in that capacity. He was substituting for his daughter, Adair County Attorney Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin. This photo was taken after the meeting during a conversation between Ray Hutchison and Judge Jerry Vaughan, right. A four-person quorum approved, 4-0, the first reading of an ordinance to give Duo County Telephone the non-exlusive franchise formerly held by Charter Communications. Present were Magistrates Roger Stephens (1), Tony Loy (3), J.M. Shelley (4) and Billy Dean Coffey (5). The meeting was an emergency, Judge Vaughan said, because the paperwork and necessary meetings have a June 30, 2006 deadline. The court meets again in special session, Thursday, June 8, 2006, to approve the 2006-2007 budge.
