Gradyville, Adair County, KY: Walker Bros. Store

2006-02-03 - Gradyville, Adair CO, KY - Photo Ed Waggener. Walker Bros. Store was until the late 1950s a major component of commerce in Gradyville, KY. It once housed the Gradyville Post Office. It shows its half-century of non-use. Now only the Post Office remains as a remnant of once thriving Old Gradyville businesses, and it is in another location. The proprietors of Walker Bros. were Hob and Opal Walker, two very warm, generous, and witty personalities. Today, Gradyville commerce prospers, but the stores are located on KY 80.
