Country Ham Auction is Thursday Nov 6


2025-11-06 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Ashley Curry. The Adair County 4-H Program will be holding its 14th 4-H Country Ham Auction starting at 5:30pmCT on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY.

This year, we have 34 4-H Youth who will be auctioning off country hams produced by the youth as part of their 4-H Country Ham project. Each youth has created a ham gift basket that will be auctioned off along with their ham.

The Chevy Graveyard

Tommy writes, "There are two rows of these cars, and about 90% of them are '57 Chevys," about where Central Avenue turns into Elkhorn Road in Cambpellsville. He continues, "When taking with China, Charles Nolley's daughter, years ago, she told me that Alan Jackson had called and wanted to know if they had a '57 convertible, but they didn't have one."

Country Ham Auction is Thursday

Thirty-four 4-H Youth will be auctioning off country hams produced as part of their 4-H Country Ham project at this year's 4-H Country Ham Auction on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Each youth has created a ham gift basket that will be auctioned off along with their ham.

Nathan & Avi Young's Country Ham Basket, above left, is is decorated for fall, with pinecones, candles and crafts, and will make a beautiful gift basket.

Issacs Farmer's Country Ham Basket, above right, comes with fresh apples and onions, dried beans, and flour, perfect for your country ham dinner.
