First smoke free Columbia restaurant has no regrets

2005-11-13 - Columbia, KY - Photo Staff. This plaque hangs by the order window at Red Barn Barbecue. The award, dated November 18, 2004, is to Gary and Marketta Dubree for having the first smoke-free restaurant in Columbia. Mrs. Dubree said, "We did it because the restaurant is so small." When asked if the smoke free status has caused any problems, she said, "No. A few, maybe a half-dozen have complained, but we have had far more who have told us they appreciate it." In case you might wonder about a barbecue being smoke free, all the barbecuing is in a building out back. Pardon the reflection of the photographer and camera.
