Veterans Day 2005: Jennifer, Johnny Biggs

2005-11-11 - Colmbia, KY - Photo Staff. Mt. Carmel, Adair CO, KY, was well represented at the Veterans Day celebration at Wal-Mart. Jennifer Biggs came with her father, Johnnie Biggs. Mr. Biggs is a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Biggs specifically noted that he lives in neither Cane Valley nor Coburg. "Mt. Carmel," he said, "next door to the Mt. Carmel Christian Church." He received the Purple Heart for a wound he received "on a little hill right in front of Heartbreak Ridge." He was drafted for service, and stayed "17 months and 11 days." Behind Mr. Biggs, Jane and Carl Hutchsion can be made out. The couple behind Jennifer Biggs, are a favorite Bliss, Adair County, Kentucky, couple, Mr. and Mrs. James Edwin Shirley.
