A special day for G.R.A.W.L.

2005-09-08 - Columbia, KY - Photo Linda Waggener. A LONG-AWAITED EVENT for G.R.A.W.L., Green River Animal Welfare League, ground was broken today for the new animal shelter in Columbia. On hand were, from left: builders Shawn and Mark Hatcher, Daryl VanArsdale from DogGone Classy, J.C. Lasley who provided the dozing work, Dr. Shantila Rexroat from Adair Animal Hospital, Judge Jerry Vaughan, Dr. Shannon Campbell from Adair Animal Hospital, Mayor Pat Bell, Ellen Zornes, Debbie Ray, Jim Blair who donated the land, Mindy Cook, Tamara Gregory, little Miss Elizabeth Rexroat and Susan Rarey from the Lake Cumberland Animal Welfare League. Down front is the animal representative at the event, "Moe", checking out the territory. The road sign was provided by David Breeding's SignAmerica.Click 'read more' for details.
