Folklore of the Old West Festival coming up June 17, 18, 19

2005-06-07 - Columbia, KY - Photo Linda Waggener. FOLKLORE OF THE OLD WEST FESTIVAL CHAIRMAN CHARLES GRIMSLEY, above right, is focused on pulling everything together for the annual festival scheduled for Friday evening, all day Saturday and concluding on Sunday, June 17, 18 and 19 in Columbia. In the photo at left, the James Gang is robbing the Bank of Columbia. It's not really the James Gang and it's not really a robbery, but it's a lot of fun to imagine what things might have been like in 1872 when folklore has it that the James Gang really did rob the Bank of Columbia on the square. Cowboys from Guntown Mountain's players will perform. Click 'read more' for details including the festival schedule of events for each day.
