Reader and contributor Ron DeVore says he believes this is what was left of downtown Gradyville, Kentucky after the Flood of 1907. We invite reader comments if you recognize any of the buildings. The two-story building visible to the left looks very much like what is still standing of Hob Walker's store on Old Gradyville Road. Ron's grandfather Mitchell Denny lost a blacksmith shop in the flood after he'd served his apprenticeship under R. L. Caldwell from 1904 through 1906. E-mail comments to Linda@ColumbiaMagazine.com
