Storyfest brought Kentucky authors to ACMS

2003-10-20 - Columbia, KY - Photo Linda Waggener. STORYTELLER Roberta Simpson Brown grew up on a farm on the Adair/Russell County line and is one-time Sheriff George Simpson's niece. She remembers him bringing her to Columbia many times as a child in his official car, sounding the sirens for her and says, "I thought Columbia was the biggest place in the world." Creaking Porch stories is the name of her CD new. She says she started writing professionally in the 80s after having been a storyteller prior to that.
