Barn Swallows back on the nest

Pam writes, "I took this spooky shot of two barn swallows at night using a flash on my camera and to my surprise their eyes were white and not red! Gave them a kind of ghostly look. These swallows have been coming to that nest for years, and rebuilt it as it had all but disintegrated over time.

These are my all time favorite birds, and I cannot wait for their babies to hatch. One year we got to watch an actual flying lesson while they took each baby out for a turn in the sky! Amazing to see and experience these super sonic flying mini jets teaching those skills to follow in their footsteps."
