The Adair and Green County Homemakers traveled to Eastern, KY to deliver much needed supplies. They were proud to have collected 200 can openers as well as box fans, coolers, cleaning supplies, and other equipment. They helped out for about four hours before making the two-and-a-half-hour trip back to Columbia and Greensburg. They went first to the Breathitt County Extension Office and then to the edge of Perry County. Members reported having seen so much devastation - water in homes and businesses, mattresses that had been lodged in trees - debris everywhere.
