Grasshopper makes a stop on Burkesville Street

This large grasshopper was a Thursday visitor at the Columbia Adair Training and Development Center, home of the Tourism Commission, which may have been his destination.

Officer Holly Necessary was among those to complete The Department of Criminal Justice Training basic training academy class 530. Officer Necessary was hired in January of this year.

Mystery plant identity revealed

Early in the season I ran a photo of a mystery volunteer plant that came up in the back yard with huge leaves and big yellow blossoms to see if anyone could name it. There were guesses, including squash, cucumbers and pumpkins. Its identity is revealed as the plant produced these happy little results just in time for fall decorations.

It's official, Max Wise joins Kelly Craft in the race

In the 2023 race for the next Kentucky Governor, Campbellsville's Senator Max Wise has been officially chosen as the running mate of gubernatorial candidate Ambassador Kelly Craft of Glasgow. Wise is the first lieutenant governor candidate to be announced so far.
