Local art exhibit continues through November

The Adair County Arts Council held a reception last week in the Lucretia C. Begley Gallery on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College showcasing local artists' works. Arts Council President Tim Smith, third from right, welcomed everyone to the event and began the tour of the gallery. Media in 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional art forms were accepted. The exhibit will continue through November 11, 2022. It is open to the public weekdays.

Kozy Haven gives office supplies to non-profits

Kozy Haven Log Cabin Rentals in Columbia is under the new ownership of Ross and Jenni Porter, center, of Burkesville. They contacted the Mayor with the goal to share gifts to local non-profits and churches from their overstock supplies. Ross buys in large quantities and they donate supplies beyond what they need in their business. With them are Linda Waggener, left, and Ellen Zornes at right, from the Columbia Adair Training and Development Center which benefited from some of the paper and office materials. Owenelle Gift Fund provides scholarships for CCHS grads

Dylan Carman, Mackenzie Cundiff, Adam Price, Emily Smith, and Miracle Stinson. They are among 6 Casey County High School graduates who received scholarships to Western Kentucky University from the Owenelle Gift Fund for the 2022-2023 academic year.
