It is also an olfactory treat when blooming in the Spring. However, in spite of its sensual splendor I don't encourage planting it or allowing it to regenerate. After a period of years, it will create an impenetrable, consuming and spreading bramble that stifles any regeneration of most of our native species. I've heard it said that too much of a good thing is a bad thing, and this plant just might be a perfect example of the truth of that old saying!"
