According to the Architect of the Capitol website, "The United States Capitol Dome may well be the most famous man-made landmark in America. It is such a fitting finale for the building it crowns, so familiar and dignified, that it seems surprising that its design and construction came late in the U.S. Capitol's architectural evolution." Give a shout out to these election officials when you see them, they put in many, many hours to make sure things go smoothly on this big day in Adair County. From left are: Sheila, Haylee, Kalina, Vicky, Lisa, Jennifer, Nadalie, Ricky, Tracy and Shauna. They started around 5amCT and kept going until every vote was tallied and every piece of equipment secured, hoping to get home around 10pm. It was reported to be a good day with heavy turnout.
