Grant application gets site visit at GRCP

Beth Land and Elijah Moore with Site Selection Group (SSG) and Cate Prather with Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development (KCED) were welcomed to the Green River Commerce Park last week to "lay eyes on" the Park and the project that was submitted by EDA for the Kentucky Product Development Initiative grant. Glen Ross, President of MSE of Kentucky, also joined the visit to address any site and utility concerns. Travel: Driving the Slot Canyon in Capitol Reef National Park

Road ends with a turn around, or you can park and continue for miles on foot. The only downside is you don't want to be caught on this road when it's raining... it becomes impassable. The park service recommends checking the weather forecast before you head down this road."

After: Benji gets a new home
 2022-11-23 - Wolfe Co., KY - Photo by Lora Bell. Yesterday, Christie and Teresa Crase drove nearly 3 hours to pick up the six-year-old terrier-Shih-Tzu mix and take him back to his new home with Teresa Crase in Hazel Green, KY. Upon meeting the dog for the first time, Teresa christened him "Benji."
Lora is excited to have given a second chance to this neglected dog, and said dropping him off with his new owner was "an emotional and wonderful experience." She says, "If anyone sees an animal being abused or neglected, please contact me at 270-805-8243."

Before: In need of care and a home
 2022-11-23 - Adair Co., KY - Photo from Lora Bell. A month and a half ago, this dog's owners moved out of their mobile home, leaving him stranded and alone. Neighbors pitched in to get the dog out and bring him food. Local volunteer Lora Bell rescued the abandoned dog from the trailer. She got him bathed and arranged for a grooming and makeover.
