You are encouraged to stop by and view these when you are on the square. They will bring back special memories for many folks. Renovations on the theater are progressing well and we all look forward to a grand opening!"

New business leaders move to Adair County

Anne and Alan Bird, talents in the areas of the arts and tech, have moved their two businesses to Adair County in the former Henrietta and Jeff Scott galleries in Sparksville. They are welcomed at the January meeting of the Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce. Anne will be installed as president of the Adair County Arts Council Thursday at 6pmCT at the Begley Art Gallery at Lindsey Wilson College.

Businesses represented at first Chamber meeting

Business leaders came together at the January Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce meeting Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Members at left were welcomed from KORT, a new physical therapy business in town, which will be having a ribbon cutting and open house in February. At right is Chamber supporter Southern Nest Realty owner Tammy Stotts who said she set a goal to attend the Chamber meetings this year. The Chamber meets at noon each second Tuesday at the Training and Development Center, 201 Burkesville Street in Columbia.

Need tree advice and more

I've been called a tree hugger and it's the honest truth, I hate to loose a single one. However, something happened last summer, taking the life from this beautiful elm, and I need to know what to do to safely remove it from around the electrical wires it is growing beside.
