The Headley-Whitney Museum of Art

The Headley-Whitney Museum of Art, just outside Lexington, is named after its founder, George Headley III, and museum benefactors Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney and Marylou Whitney. The museum claims a fascinating and diverse permanent collection of fine and decorative arts, and hosts international and regional exhibitions. The museum's Spring 2025 Exhibition features over 150 works by Cincinnati-based American Modernist artist Charley Harper.

Locally grown flowers for table decorations

Flowers and table decorations were provided from a local agribusiness - Purdy Farm & Flowers.

These and all the ingredients for the luncheon served at the June Chamber of Commerce meeting came from local farms and most can be found at the Saturday morning Farmers Market on the Square in Columbia.

FM2 is located on the corner of Campbellsville and Merchant Streets just off the Public Square and is open at 8amCT until 1pm or sold out.

Filmmaker Jenna with her local audience

Jenna Snow Grant stood and greeted all who attended the City of Columbia's film festival Thursday evening to see her first film, "The Crow," filmed entirely in Columbia. The showing was held at the Slider Auditorium on the Lindsey Wilson College campus. The Adair County Arts Council partnered with the City and helped with promotion and a preliminary reception.

Chris Wilson shared the good news this week of his parents enjoying seven decades together. He wrote, "Happy 70th anniversary to my mom and dad, Bruce and Patsy Wilson! They bought the extended warranty when they got married."
