Desiree's art is part of weaving display

This weaving art work which is part of the Student Art Exhibit at the Trabue Russell House is done in yarn by Desiree Lachowicz, sixth grade at Adair County Middle School. Pictured together among all the student works of art are, from left: young Derick, Stormy, Desiree the artist, and Dad Derick. The exhibit is open again this weekend.

Epicurean Kentuckian: food art by Brynlee

On display at the Student Art Show at the Trabue Russell House is this toilet paper food sculpture display created by Brynlee Funkhouser, seventh grade student at Adair County Middle School. She served up a burger with a side of fries and dessert. People had to take a second look to make sure it was fake!

Gabe Coleman recognized as tournament MVP

Gabe Coleman earned the recognition of tournament MVP in the Cumberland Christian Home Educators Basketball Program nationals. Over 112 teams were in attendance. The Varsity team, coached by his Dad Mark Coleman, won first place in the third bracket, the best varsity tournament showing in the team's history. Mark has been coaching the CCHE teams for three years — MS, JV, and Varsity. Each year they have had a better finish than the last at this tournament.

Adair well represented in CCHE national champions

Three Adair County players and the coach give Adair County reason to be very proud! Congratulations to the CCHE Hawks Middle School team, which includes Adair County players Gabe and Ty Coleman and Brayson Edge, and Coach Mark Coleman, on winning first place in the top bracket the East Coast Homeschool National Tournament over the weekend.
