ACMS Bluegrass Debate Team gets big results at KYA

Bowen Furkin, Maddie Wethington, and Pierce Stotts on the grounds at the Capitol. Their team, which also included Hunter Ballou and Cole Stockton (not pictured), proposed a bill which would make it mandatory to wear a helmet while riding a motorcycyle, and presented it to both the KYA House and KYA Senate, passing both, at the 2023 Kentucky Youth Assembly.

LWC residence life staff members Ryan Engle and Easton Downs serve students Tuesday night during the college's "Midnight Breakfast." The annual event is provided during finals week to allow students a chance to fellowship and take a break from final assignments and test preparation.

Discovering holiday specials downtown

Colin Cornell-MacKenzie was among the shoppers discovering what's new in holiday specials in Columbia during late night shopping. Nanwood Market is one of the retail stores that stays open until nine for "To The Nines" every first Friday. The lights were on all around the Public Square December 1st and the place was packed.

Robert writes, "Initially I spotted this old house first, and it wasn't until I sought permission to take some pics, did the property reveal the old Farmall tractor beside it.

I had fun playing around with the photo while editing and finally decided on giving it a vintage look...trying to make it look like an old photograph."
