Henry Auditorium, Lindsey Wilson College Associate Professor of Communication Susan Minton was presented a director's chair and framed picture of the cast of The Wizard of Oz from the play's cast members. Minton is holding her dog, Beau, who appeared in the production as Toto.

Dr. Ted Taylor accepts Russell Creek Baptist certificate

The Rev. Wilburn Bonta, center, Russell Creak Baptist Association director of missions, presented a certificate of recognition to the Columbia Baptist Church transition pastor Dr. Ted Taylor, left, for 'a year of record financial giving (including missions support), worship attendance, and number of baptisms, for the year of 2009-2010.' Taylor, now in his 17th year as a CU School of Theology professor, and in his second year as transitional pastor at Columbia Baptist Church, received the certificate during Campbellsville University Day at the CBC Sunday, November 14, 2010. At right is Rev. John Chowning, CU vice president for church and external relations and executive assistant to president Dr. Michael V. Carter, who spoke at the 10:30 a.m. service. Community Medical Services expands


2010-11-17 - Photo by Ed Waggener. 801 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KYThe Mark Hatcher Construction Co., Columbia, KY is completing a 1,000 s.f. addition for the fast growing Community Medical Services durable medical goods company. Mark Hatcher, the owner, is on the ground while cloud walkers Bradley Kelsey and Hatcher's son Sean Hatcher are roofing. Hatcher expects the entire job to be complete in 3 weeks, by early next week. The building will be used for additional storage, he said. Community Mecical Services is owned by Kay Bowman and Stacey Wilson. The company was recently honored for its entrepreneurship and is one of the really bright spots in the Columbia economy.

Taylor Lockridge makes pivotal play in LWC win over Alice Lloyd

Taylor Lockridge of Oak Park, MI, is fouled by Alice Lloyd College's Sarah Burchell as she hits a layup in the first half of Tuesday night's game at Biggers Sports Center. Lockridge missed the ensuing free throw, but her field goal extended the Blue Raiders' lead to 29-10 with 7:24 left in the first half. For the game, Lockridge scored six points and grabbed two rebounds in No. 18-ranked LWC's 86-60 win over the visiting Eagles. Alice Lloyd College is located in Pippa Passes, KY.

Dunnville, KY Blue Raider Michelle Copley hits 3-pointer

Lindsey Wilson College junior guard Michelle Copley of Dunnville, KY, hits a three-point shot to give the Blue Raiders a 52-25 over Alice Lloyd College, Pippa Passes, KY, in the second half of Tuesday night's game at Biggers Sports Center. For the game, Copley buried five of 10 three-point shots and scored 17 points to help the Blue Raiders to an 86-60 win over the visiting Eagles.
