The top 5 bands with the most likes on Facebook will get to perform on Friday, Aug 16, 2024, in Burkesville, at the Battle of the Bands. The winner of the Battle will then get to open up for the Marshall Tucker Band on Saturday night, August 17, 2024.

Birds of Kentucky: American Goldfinches
 2024-07-17 - Fairplay, KY - Photo by Veronica Arnold. Veronica writes, "I was trying to find the name of this bird and I googled yellow golden finch. Come to find out it is called a Goldfinch. Ok, that makes sense. He alighted on this wilting sunflower and soon a female joined him on a sunflower nearby. Lovely little birds. The female hung out under the leaves of the sunflowers for a while even after the male flew off."
