Another sighting: Bicycle Friendly sticker in Trexlertown, PA

It all started in Columbia, KY! This photo was snapped by incoming Freshman Cyclist Aidan Kesner of Lexington Mass. Aidan was attending the Junior National Track cycling championships in Trexlertown, PA, and spotted this car sporting a Bicycle Friendly sticker in the parking lot. David Grigsby, Cycling Coach, Lindsey Wilson College. Note: The Bicycle Friendly sticker originated in Columbia, KY. The sale of the stickers benefits one of the two most famous athletic programs at Lindsey Wilson College, cycling. (Also the only program ever to produce an Olympic competitor).

Scenic Adair Co., KY: Grider Hill Pass from Hospital Hill

The view is south from the former Aaron Medical Center/Adair Memorial Hospital site now owned by Grider Properties, 300 Bomar Heights, through Grider Hill Pass. The standout center point, the blue roofed building, is the Adair County headquarters for Duo-County Telecom, 221 Dohoney Trace, at Holladay Place. -EW

At the Adair Co. Fair: Jason meets Tv star Ernie Lee Brown, Jr.

Wednesday night, a lot of people got to see Ernie Lee Brown, Jr., Tv's "The Turtle Man," above left with sedate Columbia Banker Jason Cox, center and Ernie's sidekick, "Squirrel." The scene is on Myers International Midway, now playing the fair. In the lower right hand corner, Aiden Cox, Jason's son, looks on.

Cafe's wall art is museum of cycling National champions...

...and Lindsey Wilson's only Olympian, ever -
Kellis Booth a partner at Cafe on the Square stands by the framed jersey of Danny Caluag, the first ever and only Olympic competitor from Lindsey Wilson College. The display is one of 14 which adorn the walls each representing a national championship. Three are for LWC Cycling team championship. Individuals honored, include Caluag, Brittany Bates, Weston Pope, Cody Stagner, Joe Haley (2), Jenni Huff, Kristol Waldo, Charles Mooney, Crystal Kalogris, and Andrew Parson, who is now Assistant Cycling Coach at Lindsey. The collection is on loan to the Cafe through October. Lindsey Wilson Cycling Coach Dave Grigsby hopes to find a fitting place on campus for the exhibit, honoring one of the two most successful sports programs at Lindsey Wilson - and still the only one ever to have an Olympic competitor.
